Whilst critical
illness insurance may not be able to ensure a happy ending - it can make the
situation a little more tolerable.
Critical illness insurance can allow you to recuperate
how you want, with whom you want and where you want - without worrying about
financial issues.
Generally, there are around 35 serious conditions that are covered by
critical illness insurance. The number and definitions of the illness’ covered will varies with different policies and providers -- however they generally meet the
Association of British Insurers (ABI) standard definitions but always read the
small print.
Critical illness can be taken out on its own (ie without life
insurance), but we recommend taking out both as you will probably pay more for
taking out a critical illness policy on its own. Indeed, a critical illness insurance
extension often comes as part of many life insurance polcies - please check
your policy wording.
